Description
Inbounds No SLA is the main Single Player Full Game Category in Portal 2.
Rules
The most up-to-date and detailed rules can be found on Speedrun.com
SLA
Save Load Abuse or SLA is not allowed in this category. This term exists to differentiate between using saves and loads as a backup for a failed trick, and as a method of performing otherwise impossible tricks. The speedrun.com page defines SLA as "Saving and Loading to perform an action (ex: superreportal, clipping, save buffering, etc)".
Inbounds
In an Inbounds run, the player, their camera and portals must remain inbounds through the entirety of a run. Out of Bounds is defined as the space outside of a maps enclosed "inbounds" space.
Source Engine uses binary space partitioning for handling map geometry. Because of that, a proper Source map must be an enclosed space, which we call Inbounds, while everything outside of this area is called Out Of Bounds.
